Diagnosezentrum Favoriten - DZ10
With our new Diagnosezentrum Favoriten at the main railway station in Vienna we add to many services which are located around this new station. On an area of 1600m2 the clinic offers all kind of examinations; digital X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, computer tomography, magnetic resonance tomography and bone density measurement.
We are operating state-of-the-art equipment, our digital X-ray equipment and computed tomography machines work with the latest technology to reduce the radiation exposure of patients to an absolute minimum. A digital full-field mammography is used for breast examination, with which the radiation exposure can be significantly minimized. If the glandular body is dense, we can perform a supplementary tomosynthesis, which significantly improves the detection rate of breast diseases. The magnetic resonance tomographs are high field devices in order to carry out all examinations in high resolution.
An architectural team (BEHF) has planned and furnished our clinic. They created a friendly, generous atmosphere that creates a pleasant impression for everyone. The individual areas are colour-coded and psychologically selected to have a calming effect.
The medical team consists of four habilitated radiologists; Univ. Doz. Dr. Marcus Hörmann, Priv. Doz. Dr. Michael Töpker, Univ. Doz. Dr. Karl Turetschek und Univ. Doz. Dr. Patrick Wunderbaldinger. All of them have a broad experience in their field and have been working abroad over long periods of time. The various fields of our radiologists cover the entire range of diagnostics. All 4 radiologists are authors of many scientific papers and textbooks and our clinic continues to participate in scientific studies.
Our clinic participates in the early breast detection program and collaborates closely with the breast centres at the Krankenanstalt Rudolfstiftung and the Kaiser Franz Josefspital. On request a female doctor can perform breast examinations.
For CT, MR and fluoroscopy examinations (esophagus, stomach, duodenum, irrigoscopy) and intravenous urography, appointments must be made as these examinations require preparation. Regarding all other examinations, walk-ins are accepted during business hours.
Our clinic can be reached by public transportation (stop: main railway station, Hauptbahnhof). By means of underground, bus and tram our clinic can be reached from every point of Vienna, S-Bahn and ÖBB connect the surroundings of Vienna.
